Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was made for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. It earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement and bewildered by the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes encouraged her to use music for personal growth, rather than for the purpose of making a living or as a hobby. This led to her started writing the music she composed herself. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not be famous for her, rather to help people to realize the importance of their work and influence on this world, she began playing them on stage. The mother of her child suggested that she sing her songs in public so that people can see the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. The family did not have any idea about it until she turned 14. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. According to her, she likes to write songs. She believes that music is the most effective method of feeling anything.
