Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current research into the study of witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within lawful situations. Professor Goodman has published widely, received many grants and received numerous national and international prizes. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and studies on child victims in the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
