Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often called Ashanti, was born on October 13 of 1980, on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter, and actor. Ashanti began her professional career when she was a teenager then was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. Ashanti appeared the same day as The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's the Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time were both huge hits.
